Lakes Mediation works with accredited mediators who can take you through a simple assessment to let you know if you qualify for help with the cost of family mediation before you begin
Legal Aid: If you are on a low income or certain benefits, all your mediation sessions, including the MIAM, (Mediation Information Assessment Meeting) can be completely funded by Legal Aid. It is a simple, quick and easy assessment our team will be able to let you know what you qualify for before you start.
£500 Government Voucher: For cases dealing with child arrangements, we can apply for the government’s Family Mediation Voucher Scheme, which gives you up to £500 towards your mediation costs.
This voucher is not means tested which means that it is available to everyone regardless of income or benefits as long as you are resolving issues around children in mediation.
Th Family Mediation Voucher does not cover the cost of your initial MIAM assessment but does cover up to £500 of your joint mediation costs.
